Shaw continued modelling into her 50s before finally stepping away from the industry, but her famous collaboration with F1 driver Hunt remained her most enduring work.
The shoot was arranged following his triumph at the 1976 World Championship and would later be immortalized in the 2013 biographical drama Rush, starring Chris Hemsworth and Olivia Wilde.
The driver is pictured exposing his chest in a pair of unzipped overalls as a naked Susan stares up at him with an admiring expression.

Shaw’s only marriage to Ian Drury ended almost 20 years ago, but the former couple remained close following their separation.
Daughter Kim added: ‘They stayed friendly, even after the split, and dad helped take care of her when she was sick.’
